Scale 1: £24,413 – £24,796 pro rata per annum (Actual salary £13,916.74 – £14,135.07).

Permanent, Part Time – 24.25 hours per week, 39 weeks – Term Time Only.

Start Date – As Soon As Possible.

Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking catering team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real contribution to our school community by preparing and serving nutritious, high‑quality meals that support our students’ wellbeing and learning.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of delicious school lunches.
  • Work as part of an enthusiastic and supportive team.
  • Demonstrate reliability, teamwork and a positive approach to work.

Experience in a school or workplace kitchen and a good understanding of food hygiene principles would be highly advantageous, although we welcome anyone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
