Job Description:
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med Surg RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. The Med Surg RN plays a key role in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to medical and post-surgical patients
• Perform patient assessments, vital signs, and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as ordered
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond promptly to complications
• Coordinate and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers

• Provides care for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions as well as post-operative recovery

• Focus on patient safety, quality outcomes, and continuity of care

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, time-management, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients in a high-acuity environment
• BLS certification required, ACLS
