Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg and skilled nursing department night shift position in California, requiring an active CA RN license and Cerner experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Med/Surg and skilled nursing department within a healthcare facility
- Care for both adult and non-critical pediatric patient populations
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Must be willing to float to the skilled nursing department as needed
- Cerner EMR proficiency is required
- Must adhere to National Patient Safety Goals including infection prevention, patient identification, and understanding clinical alarms
- Orientation will be provided and paid in full
- Holiday coverage and shift flexibility may be required as determined by unit needs
- Candidates are expected to demonstrate familiarity with safety and risk identification
- First-time travelers may be considered
- No stated radius rule; local candidates are accepted if not otherwise indicated
- Active and current California RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Current certifications in ACLS and PALS
- Previous experience using Cerner EMR is required
- Ability to care for non-critical pediatric patients
