Director Accounts Payable

Our client, a world class global leader, is seeking an experienced AP Director to lead a high-volume AP function.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished AP leader who enjoys managing people and operations while also looking for ways to improve processes, increase efficiencies and better leverage technology.

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a large Accounts Payable function
• Manage, coach and develop an experienced team
• Ensure accurate and timely invoice processing and payments
• Provide leadership and support around complex or escalated AP issues
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service
• Strengthen processes, procedures and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline work
• Partner with leaders across the organization to resolve issues and improve processes
• Support projects and organizational initiatives impacting Accounts Payable
• Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, development and continuous improvement

• Significant progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership of a sizable AP function
• Experience working within a large and/or complex organization
• Strong understanding of AP processes, payments and internal controls
• Proven people-management and team-development experience
• Experience with large ERP/accounting systems
• Demonstrated success improving processes and operational efficiency
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field preferred
