What does this role look like?

Mechanical Engineer – Stress, Dynamics, Loads, MSC ADAMS, 3D CAD system (Creo, NX Solid Works, etc.), etc.

Important Notes

Candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Work is expected to be nearly 100% On site with very limited telework opportunities.

Basic Qualifications
  • Mechanical background with understanding fundamentals of statics, stress and/or load dynamics
  • Relevant experience in mechanical analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), and/or classical hand calculations
  • Demonstrated experience with ADAMS Multibody dynamics software, NX Simulation, NASTRAN, LS-Dyna, Wave6, or equivalent
Desired skills
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience evaluating designs using rigid body or flexible body analysis methods and tools
  • Static, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test experience of aerospace flight hardware
  • Experience managing/leading an engineering team
  • Experience working on Missile Defense programs
  • Proficiency in Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) on spacecraft/launch vehicles

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 – $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
