Electrical Applications Engineer – Electrical Systems / Power Generation
We’re seeking a motivated Applications Engineer with a strong electrical foundation and a curiosity for how things work. This is a hands‑on, fast‑learning role supporting distributed generation and microgrid projects from concept through commissioning.
The ideal candidate is early‑mid in their career, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow their technical expertise across electrical and mechanical systems. You’ll work alongside senior engineers and project teams, helping design, review, integrate, and troubleshoot power systems that keep critical operations running.
What You’ll Do- Support and review system design and integration for distributed power generation and microgrid projects.
- Develop and review electrical one‑lines, P&IDs, and control schematics.
- Assist with equipment selection, system sizing, and component specification.
- Participate in site evaluations, technical reviews, and commissioning.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and project success.
- 1–5 years of experience in electrical or controls engineering, applications engineering, or systems design.
- Strong electrical background — mechanical knowledge is a plus, but not a substitute.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design tools.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent communication, curiosity, and a desire to learn quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for site visits and project support.
