Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is searching for an experienced Interim Controller to join our team on a contract/consulting basis to provide leadership and oversight of a financial services organization’s accounting operations. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance, and efficiency during a transitional period.

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Lead internal controls review and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring continuity and knowledge transfer.
• Support ERP system optimization and process improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including prior Controller or Assistant Controller roles.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in the financial services industry is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, Quick Books, SAP).
