Job Title:

Financial Controller

Compensation: $140K+

The Controller manages day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, internal control, and financial reporting policies. This position is responsible for the preparation of financial statements according to US GAAP and providing financial guidance to management throughout the organization. The ideal Controller should have 10+ years of general accounting experience and hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. The Controller reports to the CFO with direct reports managing payroll and general accounting functions.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages on a US GAAP basis.

Review results with management and provide understanding of variances, driving efforts to understand root causes and enhance business performance.

Lead the month-end close process and develop expertise in financial reporting systems to improve processes, standardize reporting, and train employees.

Improve financial reporting and add value to the business.

Analyze, apply, and improve policies, procedures, and controls.

Perform quick and accurate analysis of key financial data.

Manage complex ad hoc analyses and special projects.

Maintain knowledge of current accounting standards and company policies.

Take initiative on a variety of projects beyond formal responsibilities.

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, communication skills, leadership, and team-building abilities.
