Overview
Hampton Inn King of Prussia is hiring for a Housekeeping Supervisor. The role supports cleaning and preparing efficient operations of the hotel including rooms, front and back of house, public areas, and laundry. The Housekeeping Supervisor may assume the duties of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence and may clean guest rooms and public spaces on days not covering EHK duties.
Responsibilities- Manage Guest Request Log:
Review the log daily to ensure all requests are met and address problems proactively. - VIP Management:
Monitor VIPs, special guests, and requests. - Oversee Housekeeping Team:
Lead daily stand-up, assign checklists, and prepare for the day in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. - Room Inspection:
Inspect rooms and public spaces for quality and cleanliness in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. - Storage Areas:
Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage rooms and housekeeping spaces. - Pre-Cleaning Duties:
Stock guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for carts. - Trash and Linen Removal:
Remove trash/dirty linen and replenish guest room supplies. - Deep Cleaning:
Perform deep cleaning as needed with maintenance collaboration. - Departmental Meetings:
Conduct daily meetings in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. - Supply Management:
Maintain stock of housekeeping and laundry supplies; order as needed on a monthly/quarterly basis. - Inventory:
Conduct regular inventories of supplies and equipment. - Maintenance Requests:
Monitor work orders and follow up to ensure completion in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. - Status Reports:
Balance and reconcile room status reports; resolve discrepancies in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. - Lost and Found:
Maintain policies and procedures for lost and found items. - Chemical Safety:
Ensure proper use of hazardous chemicals per OSHA standards. - Key Control:
Maintain a key control system for the department.
- Happy Guests:
Management performance ratings; guest satisfaction scores/intent to return. - Spotless Cleanliness: GM/AGM spot checks; leadership walk-throughs; guest ratings.
- Product Consistency & Quality:
Checklist tracking; management performance ratings; guest ratings. - Teamwork:
Management performance ratings.
- Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred; supervisory experience preferred.
- Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pace and pressure.
- Strong listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Hospitality and guest service mindset.
- Age 18 or older.
- Varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays as required.
- Clock-in/Clock-out discipline; breaks as scheduled; notify supervisor when calling out.
Required:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions. The employee is regularly required to stand or remain stationary for extended periods, operate computers and office devices, and lift/move up to 25 pounds. Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and close/far vision are required.
