Housekeeping Supervisor –

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the Housekeeping Department at Element Valley Forge. The role plans, organizes, and directs overall housekeeping operations following hotel and brand guidelines.
Essential Functions- Direct Housekeeping staff in project assignments within budget, quality, and schedule.
- Supervise staff and manage hiring, training, motivating, wage/salary administration, performance appraisal, and development of policies and procedures.
- Evaluate safe work practices and conduct job performance reviews.
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and appearance of Housekeeping areas; perform regular inspections of public areas and rooms.
- Ensure Housekeeping staff follows safety regulations in use of equipment and supplies.
- Inspect storage rooms, utility and janitorial closets for upkeep and supply control.
- Procure Housekeeping supplies and equipment; maintain inventory levels.
- Develop written policies and procedures for housekeeping and laundry in coordination with related departments.
- Plan and coordinate Housekeeping/Laundry services with other departments.
- Coordinate and monitor guest room changes; respond to guest requests promptly per policies.
- Process payables efficiently according to policies.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude toward guests and associates.
- Report maintenance problems through proper channels.
- Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Write shift reports, including incidents of theft, accidents, or injuries.
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure satisfaction.
- Report incidents of guest dissatisfaction or other significant matters to management for corrective action.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Minimum five years of related housekeeping experience in a full-service hotel.
- Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and efficient time management.
