• Software Engineering – experience designing, building, and maintaining significant distributed software systems.
• Expert in C/C++ with some experience with Python – work with large repositories of poorly documented legacy code and new applications.
• Communication Skills – able to write technical documentation, including requirements specifications and technical specification.
• Agile – experience working in an “agile” environment and familiarity with Git, Git Hub, Jira, Confluence, and traditional C/C++ tool chain.
• Database – experience working with relational databases. Vector Database experience and knowledge of Elastic Search or Open Search is a plus.
• Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning – experience in Named Entity Recognition, Classification, Summarization, and Clustering applied to streaming unstructured data such as news wires.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering or scientific discipline.

• Take on projects involving significant enhancements to our unstructured data processing systems.
• Work alone or in collaboration with a small team through all stages of the software development lifecycle: specification, design, construction, documentation, testing, and deployment.
• Assist with designing a new unstructured data factory architecture for future development.
• Maintain, modernize, extend, and support existing systems as needed.
• Containerize and migrate legacy systems to new operating systems.
• Mentor junior members of the team.

Our Data Estate Enrichment Squad is responsible for making unstructured data useful for all of Moody’s through entity extraction, classification, and sentiment analysis. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Information Extraction.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
