Subcontracts Manager – K , Inc. (K ’s Mission Technology Solutions (MTS) group, Australia – Senior role)
Job Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of Subcontracts Administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight
- Develop and implement subcontracting strategies aligned with program and organizational goals
- Oversee the full lifecycle of subcontract administration including supplier qualification, RFP/RFQ issuance, proposal evaluation, and subcontract execution
- Ensure compliance with CPSR requirements and government regulations (FAR, DFARS, ITAR)
- Conduct and supervise price analysis and negotiations of subcontract agreements, including terms, conditions and pricing
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—program management, legal, finance, and compliance—to support procurement success
- Monitor subcontractor performance and manage risk mitigation strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in subcontracting processes and systems
- Review subcontract activities at pre‑solicitation and award phases for risk and compliance assessment
- Protect the company’s interests by ensuring compliance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements
- Oversee administration of subcontracts on overseas federal construction projects, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS and host‑nation regulations
- Monitor subcontractor progress against construction schedules, flag delays and coordinate recovery plans
- Facilitate pre‑construction meetings and subcontractor onboarding to align expectations and site protocols
- Manage modifications and change orders to support customer demands and daily subcontract administration
- Participate in bid and proposal activities, including data calls, cost proposals and pricing activities with multiple departments
- Analyze and resolve technical and administrative problems involving subcontracts
- Maintain regular interaction with finance, accounting, business development and senior management
- B.S. / B.A. in Business Administration, Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Law or a related field, plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in subcontract administration for a federal contractor or equivalent
- Highly organized, strategic, and systematic approach to task and team management
- Strong understanding of FAR regulations and experience managing various types of subcontracts (IDIQ, CPAF, CPFF, T&M, FFP)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and construction specifications
- Experience in mitigating contractual and procurement risks, ensuring adherence to government regulations (FAR, DFARS, ITAR, CPSR)
- Strong negotiator with proven success in subcontract discussions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with peers, vendors and customers, demonstrating integrity, teamwork and a positive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint is a plus
Candidates must possess an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance or an Australian TS/PV clearance. A polygraph examination may be required as part of the U.S. clearance process.

U.S. locations – $115,000 – $172,500 (CO); $120,400 – $180,600 (CA); the offered rate will be based on location, experience, clearance level and internal parity.
Additional CompensationBonuses, commissions or other forms of compensation may be offered per internal policy or contractual designation, including sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentive, long‑term incentive and discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
