Education and Formal Training: Successful completion of LPN Program, LPN licensed in the State of Virginia (or compact).

Work Experience: EXTENDED TRAINING PROGRAM OFFERED FOR NEW GRADUATES!

Responsibilities: Provides and directs the provision of home nursing care, based on agency policies and procedures, through the competent application of the nursing process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must be able to quickly develop thorough knowledge of home health regulations and all relevant policies.
