The Wisconsin Veterans Home at King (WVHK) is recruiting for multiple Nurse Clinician 2 (Registered Nurse), limited term employment (LTE) positions to join our dedicated Nursing team. The Home is a 24/7/365 long-term care facility that specializes in providing comfort, support, and professional healthcare services to elderly or disabled veterans and spouses of veterans. Our facility is on the picturesque shoreline of the Chain O'Lakes, off Highway 10, between Stevens Point and Appleton, Wisconsin.

Position SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, the Nurse Clinician 2 performs professional nursing work requiring a license as a Registered Nurse by the State of Wisconsin. The incumbent is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to a mostly geriatric and/or disabled population at the Wisconsin Veterans Home (WVH) in King. The Nurse Clinician 2 provides direction to other staff in the provision and coordination of member care, and monitors care given by other health team members on a unit, floor, or in a building.
All activities are performed in accordance with applicable standards of practice, facility policy and procedures, facility, and governmental rules and regulations.

Salary InformationStarting wage is $43.72 - $50.61 per hour, plus additional compensation for nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
Nurse Clinician 2 is in pay schedule-pay range 11-02. For current or eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan effective at the time of hire.

Job DetailsThese are flexible part‑time positions with the option to pick up additional hours as desired with no required overtime. Shifts are available AM, PM, NOC, holidays and weekends. Candidate preferences gathered at time of interview.
LTE jobs are limited to 1039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits.
Job duties require the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing.

Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre‑employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
QualificationsMinimally qualified applicants will
- have a current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin or a Nurse Licensure Compact state, or
- be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin or Nurse Licensure Compact prior to hire.
