Position Description
To supervise the team responsible for the operation of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation & control equipment at the Combustion Turbine sites and ensure optimum generating capabilities. Oversee overall operation of UES Electric combustion turbine resources. Supervises union employees and ensure compliant with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Ability to travel long distances and accommodate overnight stays to achieve needed results at the more remote generating stations.
Responsible for multiple assets in different regulatory environments and requirements.
This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.
Position-Related Responsibilities
- Authorized and is responsible to hire, promote, assign, and direct staff. Supervises employees and monitors activities; including safety, prioritizing workflow allocation, staffing/scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Provides direction to employees; resolves technical questions and employee relation issues to provide accurate and consistent direction and interpretations. Completes employee performance review prior to due date; provides feedback to employees during mid-cycle updates; provides direction to employees; monitors workflow to minimize backlog and customer complaints.
