Position Title: Radiation Oncology Therapist Position Code: Rad Onc Ther -6181
Department: Cancer Center Safety Sensitive: YES
Reports to: Chief Radiation Therapist Exempt Status: NO
Shift: Per Diem will work a minimum of six (6) shifts in six (6) weeks and up to a maximum of 19 hours per week
Position Purpose

Key Responsibilities [List of material responsibilities and essentials duties which must be completed in achieving the objectives of the position]
Responsible for maintaining up to date competencies and high quality standard of care for:
- Treatment delivery and IMRT process flow
- Verification simulation process flow
- Setup simulation process flow
- Clinical treatment process flow
- Treatment delivery and imaging flow for SRS and SBRT
- Dosimetry planning flow
- Ensures all departmental policies are met
- Demonstrates submission of accurate billing/treatment information to ensure compliance with related billing charges
- Demonstrates radiation safety knowledge and compliance with state regulations
- Maintains and ensures ACR practice parameters for radiation therapy
- Fulfills the role and responsibilities of a licensed radiation therapist
Education: Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program. Preferably from an educational institution approved by the ARRT, JCERT, or the ACR.
Certification/Licensure
- Current Arizona Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate/licensure.
- Certification by American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) registry in Radiation Therapy
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Education: Associate’s degree or Bachelors’ with certification preferred

- Requires standing/sitting for extensive periods of time
