Join our vibrant team in our skilled nursing facility, where youll administer treatment programs designed by our licensed Occupational Therapist and contribute to a wide range of engaging group programs. Essential Job Functions
  • Verify patient information, ensuring precision in the therapy process.
  • Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and families, discussing and executing treatment plans.
  • Efficiently complete clinical and billing documentation, ensuring timely submission.
  • Implement the prescribed Occupational Therapy program, restoring and maintaining patient functionality using a variety of techniques.
  • Collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapist when evaluation data exceeds COTA expertise.
  • Establish and pursue short and long-term goals tailored to individual patient needs, adapting treatment techniques as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and healthy therapy environment, adhering to organization standards and regulations.
  • Enhance job knowledge through training and publications, staying at the forefront of occupational therapy.
  • Embrace new challenges and assist fellow team members, contributing to the organizations overall success.
  • Uphold privacy policies and federal regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized COTA program with a valid state license (required).
  • Tech-savvy, proficient in computers and handheld devices.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and the flexibility to travel.
  • Exceptional skills in observation, communication, problem-solving, and basic math.
  • Strong focus on customer service, excelling in interpersonal relationships.
  • Attentive listener, empathetic communicator, and effective information sharer.
  • Proficient in teaching and assisting others.
  • Adept at using computers and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Preferred experience in acute care, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical resilience for extended periods of walking, standing, balancing, reaching, and more. Independent capability for max-assist patient transfers (75% employee effort, 25% patient). Proficiency in positioning patients and handling equipment. Thrive in a physically engaging role, occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force.
