Position

Purpose:

LPNs assist in providing excellent patient care by assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.

Hours/Shift: Full‑Time/Days M‑F 8:00a‑4:30p

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations
  • Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in a dynamic environment
  • Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures
  • Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens
  • Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests
  • May perform venipuncture

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program and high school or equivalent
  • Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification

Work Requirements: Able to distinguish appropriate colors, ability to work above or below shoulder level, life to 50 pounds, and walk or be on feet 90% of the day. Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances.
