American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position requiring Med Surg background with both adult and pediatric patient experience and an AZ or compact RN license.

• Work in a Pediatrics unit caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30)
• Meditech charting system experience preferred but not required
• Floating to adult Med Surg units required if needed
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring responsibilities

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience required
• Experience with telemetry required
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric populations required
• Skills in respiratory care including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) preferred
• Skills in management of chest tubes preferred
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS)/Rapid Response Team protocols
• On-unit telemetry monitoring experience preferred

• Orientation held every Monday
• Holiday coverage required during contract
• Minimal RTO preferred due to limited staffing availability for this role
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
