American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN with 2+ years of IR experience and prior travel assignment experience required.
Requirements- Active AZ or compact RN license
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an IR RN
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Meditech charting experience preferred
- Proficiency in procedural sedation monitoring, vascular closure systems, and radiation/laser safety
- Experience with vascular, pulmonary, genitourinary, and neurological interventional procedures
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit
- Day shift schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM (4x10 hours) - 1:1 patient ratio
- On-call required for 1 weekend (Fri-Sun) and 3-4 weekdays per month
- Meditech charting system used
- Provide nursing care for interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, chemo embolization, liver biopsy, thoracentesis, and nephrostomy among others
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and other specialized medications
- Assist with central line insertion, PICC line care, and vascular access procedures
- RTO restricted from Dec 15th to Jan 3rd, with minimal time off requested at time of consideration
- Holiday coverage required, including on-call shifts for Dec 24/25 and Dec 31/Jan 1
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Travel pairs accepted
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before being eligible to return as travelers
