Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 1 year of recent Med Surg and telemetry experience with BLS certification.

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required only if skillset allows for PCU float
• 1 year of recent Med Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required due to potential for remote monitoring
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs required
• Experience with oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, and nasal cannula required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE required
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Experience using Rapid Response/Code teams required

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• Meditech charting system, experience preferred but not required
• Floating to other Med Surg units required as needed, with potential float to PCU if skills align
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring responsibilities
• Orientation held every Monday
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Holiday coverage required
• Travel pairs accepted
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
• RTO should be kept minimal and included at time of consideration
