American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring recent Med Surg experience and telemetry skills.

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Floating required to other MS units, with potential float to PCU only if skills align
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring responsibilities
• Meditech charting system preferred but not required

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required only if skillset allows for float to PCU
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, Rapid Response/Code team participation
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management skills
• Respiratory care skills including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and medication administration, including heparin protocols

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Holiday coverage is required
• Travel pairs are accepted
• First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
