American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of emergency department experience.

• Work in the Emergency Department with floating between ED and CDU (Observation Unit)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as part of scheduling
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Meditech charting system experience preferred but not required

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• ESI certification preferred
• Experience with pediatric and adult emergency care, trauma, cardiac monitoring, and psychiatric emergencies preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Orientation occurs every Monday and includes non-billable training modules
• First-time travelers accepted if they have more than 2 years of ED experience, with a 12-hour orientation
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
• Candidates must live outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• RTO should be kept minimal and must be included at time of consideration
