Placeshaper; FTC)

Position: Placeshaper (6 month FTC)
Do you enjoy bringing people together and helping communities thrive? We're looking for a Placeshaper to join us on a six-month fixed-term contract . This is a hands-on community role where you'll build relationships with residents, local groups and community partners, help people get involved in activities and opportunities, and create a welcoming space where people can meet, learn and connect.

You'll also keep our community spaces running smoothly day to day, providing on-site administration and supervision of our community services. Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk's housing stock.

We now have over 7500 properties across West and North Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We've had numerous achievements, including delivering our customers' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living.

Requirements Outline of key responsibilities Providing a prompt, friendly and effective service to customers, suppliers and colleagues with enquiries about our community spaces Being the first point of contact across all channels (phone, face to face, letter, email, text and web), getting things right first time and finding customer-focused solutions Promoting the community spaces to local residents and community groups, making sure our facilities are well used and remain available for the good of the whole community Supporting community groups to promote their events and making sure they have the equipment and services they need Acting as the day-to-day contact for hirers and Discovery Centre commercial tenants Buying consumables for the community spaces and making sure invoicing is timely and accurate, for both the services we provide and the goods we purchase Looking after day-to-day cash collection, the petty cash float and reconciliation Negotiating rates for hiring space and facilities with new and existing customers, within agreed limits We are looking for someone who has 5 GCSEs/O Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including English and Maths Proven experience in a busy, customer-facing environment, giving advice and solutions to a diverse range of customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to resolve customer requests in a friendly, helpful way A good understanding of Data Protection, equality and diversity requirements within a customer-facing organisation Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook The ability to organise and prioritise your own duties when working remotely from the main office, while being a strong team player Benefits What's in it for you?
