Architecture Governance & Process Lead

Are you a passionate about process, governance, and creating the frameworks? Do you have experience of architecture so enable great architecture to happen at scale with modern and automation of processes, governance and artefacts? We're looking for an Architecture Governance & Process Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping how Architecture operates across Specsavers globally. This is a unique opportunity to influence the way a global architecture community works and delivers value to our amazing organisation, with modern and fit for purpose architecture governance & processes.

Whilst an architectural background is essential, we're specifically looking for someone who excels in process design, and continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for defining, implementing, and evolving the processes that architects use every day, creating a consistent, scalable, and integrated approach to architecture across Specsavers. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Delivery, Data, Service Management, and Operations teams to ensure architecture is seamlessly embedded within the wider Technology Operating Model.

Your focus will be on creating clear governance, simplifying workflows, defining processes and artefacts, and ensuring architecture effort and decisions are efficient and effective. You'll thrive in this role if you have previously worked within an Architecture function and have experience designing and implementing governance frameworks, architecture processes, standards, controls, and ways of working. We're looking for someone who understands how architecture enables successful technology delivery and who can create the structure, consistency, and clarity that allows architects to spend more time delivering value and less time navigating process.

As a key member of the Architecture community, you'll drive continuous improvement and automation across architecture governance and processes. You'll establish and maintain architecture artefacts, templates, documentation standards, governance forums, and decision-making frameworks while ensuring they remain practical, scalable, and aligned to the needs of the wider technology organisation. We're looking for someone with outstanding stakeholder management and relationship building skills who can build alignment across multiple technology functions, influence the adoption of new ways of working, and successfully drive change within a complex environment.
