We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Functional Skills Lecturer to join our growing team near Kings Lynn. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to helping learners develop the essential English skills needed for further study, employment, and everyday life.

Working with a diverse range of students, you will deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills English lessons, supporting learners to achieve recognised qualifications while building their confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Functional Skills English lessons to learners of varying abilities.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging learning activities that meet awarding body requirements.
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop individual learning plans and support learners to achieve their targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support learner success.
About You
  • Holds a recognised teaching qualification or is willing to work towards one.
  • Has experience teaching English Functional Skills, GCSE English, or equivalent.
  • Possesses strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
  • Is passionate about supporting learners to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.
  • Can adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational and IT skills.
Desirable
  • Experience working within Further Education, Adult Education, Apprenticeships, or Alternative Provision settings.
  • Assessing qualifications and knowledge of Functional Skills awarding body requirements.
  • Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
