Role Overview:We are seeking a Paralegal to join our Private Client team. The role involves assisting solicitors with client matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated law graduate or junior legal professional to gain hands-on experience in private client law.
Key Responsibilities:- Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate documents.
- Assisting with estate planning and administration.
- Conducting legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations.
- Preparing and filing court and HMRC forms related to probate and tax matters.
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, trustees, and external parties.
- Maintaining accurate case files, documentation, and records.
- Supporting solicitors with compliance, reporting, and due diligence.
- Attending client meetings and taking notes as required.
- Law degree (LLB) or equivalent; LPC or LLM preferred.
- Interest in private client law, including probate, trusts, and estate planning.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- Professional, client-focused approach with discretion and integrity.
- Previous experience in private client, probate, or trusts work.
- Familiarity with tax and estate administration processes.
- Exposure to drafting and managing legal documents.
- Experience in client-facing interactions in a professional setting.
