Adult Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Location: King’s Lynn with travel across West Norfolk

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (Part time/flexible working considered)

Salary: £26,000–£28,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Are you passionate about empowering women affected by domestic abuse and helping them rebuild their lives with safety, dignity and confidence? We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist domestic abuse service that provides vital support to women and children across West Norfolk.

This is a meaningful and rewarding role where you will provide trauma informed, strengths based support to women aged 16 and over, offering both emotional and practical assistance as part of a dedicated outreach and refuge team.

About the Role

As an Adult Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide one to one support using tailored support plans and risk assessments to promote safety and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to help them manage risk, build resilience and take positive steps forward.
  • Offer emotional support and practical guidance, ensuring each client feels heard, respected and empowered.
  • Manage referrals, undertake risk assessments and contribute to safeguarding processes.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies to ensure holistic, wraparound support.
  • Keep accurate, confidential records using a secure case management system.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for the service and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team culture.

You will also support with refuge accommodation and deliver outreach support in the community, following lone working procedures and organisational policies at all times.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • At least two years’ paid experience in a relevant field.
  • A strong understanding of domestic abuse, risk management and safeguarding for adults and children.
  • The ability to remain calm, professional and compassionate in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Confidence working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

You will be non judgemental, reliable, emotionally resilient and committed to delivering high quality, trauma informed support.

Additional Information
  • This role is restricted to female applicants only under Schedule 9 (Part

  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.
