Warehouse Manager
A well-established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse and stores operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient stock management, warehouse organisation, goods movement, and team supervision within a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will manage warehouse personnel, maintain stock accuracy, coordinate the flow of materials and finished goods, and ensure operational targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse OperationsManage the day-to-day running of the warehouse and stores function.
Coordinate the receipt, storage, movement and despatch of goods.
Ensure all stock and finished products are stored safely and securely.
Maintain an organised warehouse layout and maximise storage utilisation.
Ensure all warehouse areas and external storage areas are safe, clean and well organised.
Maintain accurate stock records using the company's ERP.
Ensure stock is correctly located and identified.
Process goods received and stock movements within agreed timescales.
Monitor inventory levels and highlight potential shortages.
Organise and oversee weekly, monthly and ad-hoc stock counts.
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
Achieve and maintain stock accuracy targets.
Review consumable stock levels and raise purchase requests where required.
Liaise closely with internal teams to ensure materials are available when required.
Ensure production output is booked into stock accurately and promptly.
Coordinate the movement of kits and materials to production areas.
Support production schedules by maintaining appropriate stock availability.
Supervise, train and develop warehouse personnel.
Allocate daily workload and manage stock movement priorities.
Ensure warehouse cover is maintained to support business requirements.
Promote a positive, safe and productive working environment.
Ensure compliance with H&S procedures and company policies.
Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and records.
Monitor and report operational KPIs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the warehouse function.
Carry out any other reasonable duties required by management.
Minimum 5 years' warehouse or stores management experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
Experience supervising and developing warehouse teams.
Strong inventory control and stock management knowledge.
Experience using ERP, MRP or warehouse management systems.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements.

Early finish on Fridays - 7-5 Monday to Thursday, 7-4 Friday
