Hours:
24 per week (weekend nights 7 P‑7 A every Saturday and Sunday). Pay range: $20.40–$30.60 per hour. Benefits Eligible:

The Nurse Aide II assists in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists in maintaining a clean, safe patient environment and performs job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competencies as appropriate to the needs of the patient population served.
Major Responsibilities- Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
- Assists patients/residents with personal hygiene.
- Measures vital signs, height, and weight.
- Feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to specific procedures.
- Maintains patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
- Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
- Orientates patients and families to the unit and instructs patients on safety measures.
- Assists with clerical work such as answering phones, entering data, and maintaining medical records.
- Maintains stock supply items in inventory management.
- Performs duties as outlined in the state Board of Nursing Nurse Aide II Tasks List.
- Performs technical tasks such as administering a 12‑lead electrocardiogram and routine venipuncture, as appropriate.
Job Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (required for new hires).
- Nurse Aide II Registry: Current listing with the Delaware State Nursing Registry (if applicable).
- Certification / License: Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- Work Experience/Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, bend, stretch, stoop, push, and pull. Must be able to lift and support weight up to 35 pounds. Must speak and understand English. Manual and finger dexterity required. Physical abilities testing required.
