Electrical Maintenance Technician - Weekend Day

Join Utz Brands, Inc. at our Kings Mountain, NC facility. We are seeking experienced electrical maintenance technicians to support our high‑tech food manufacturing operations.

• Week 1:
  Friday‑Sunday, 6:30 AM‑6:30 PM
• Week 2:
  Thursday‑Sunday, 6:30 AM‑6:00 PM (schedule repeats weekly)

• Lead troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment including bagger machines, motors, AC/DC drives, fryers, packaging machines, PLCs, extruders, etc.
• Coordinate and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment uptime and optimal performance.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems (bagger machines, HVAC, conveyors, packaging equipment) using schematics and hands‑on repairs.
• Use iPads and maintenance tracking software to log repairs, track equipment history, and keep detailed audit records.
• Follow all food safety, GMP, and OSHA guidelines while maintaining a clean and safe work environment; support the 5S process.
• Work closely with maintenance and production teams to resolve issues, minimize downtime, and optimize production flow.

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience as a maintenance technician focused on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with bagger machines required; familiarity with fryers, packaging machines, and conveyors is preferred.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing PLC‑controlled equipment and motor controls.
• Ability to work with schematics, electrical wiring, and mechanical systems.
• Must be able to work at heights and lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
