Office Manager – Full-time, Permanent (September 2026)

This Office Manager role is based within a school setting where strong leadership, positive relationships, and clear systems underpin daily practice. Duties

as Office Manager
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the school office, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies
  • Manage administrative systems including pupil records, attendance, and data management
  • Support financial administration, including orders, invoices, and budget monitoring as required
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies and procedures
  • Line‑manage administrative staff where applicable and support their development
  • Coordinate communication across the school, including emails, letters, and reports
  • Support senior leaders with administrative tasks and reporting deadlines
  • Ensure safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection procedures are followed at all times
Ideal Office Manager
  • Has proven experience working as an Office Manager or administrator within a school setting
  • Demonstrates strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Is confident using school‑management information systems and office software
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with staff, parents, and external partners
  • Is calm, approachable, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection
  • Works well independently and as part of a wider school team
  • Is committed to supporting the smooth running of a school environment
