High Level Teaching Assistant – Part-time, long-term temporary and ongoing starting January 2026
This is an excellent opportunity for a High Level Teaching Assistant to join a school that provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The school promotes high standards of teaching and learning, with a strong focus on pupil progress and well‑being. Staff work collaboratively to create engaging lessons and foster a positive learning culture where every child can thrive.
Duties as High Level Teaching Assistant:- Support teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2, delivering interventions and small group sessions
- Assist teachers in planning and preparing lessons, adapting resources for individual needs
- Cover classes when required, ensuring continuity of learning
- Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and senior staff
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
- Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing practices across the school
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Previous experience as a HLTA or in a similar role within a primary setting
- Ability to lead small groups and deliver planned interventions confidently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning across different year groups
- Committed to promoting inclusion and safeguarding children
