Law Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from September 2026

This Law Teacher role offers a full‑time, long‑term temporary and ongoing opportunity from September 2026 within a supportive secondary school setting. The Law Teacher will deliver high‑quality A Level Law teaching, supporting students to develop strong analytical skills, legal understanding, and exam confidence. This role is ideal for an experienced A Level Law Teacher seeking consistency and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on post‑16 learners.

Duties

as Law Teacher
  • Deliver engaging and well‑structured A Level Law lessons
  • Teach in line with examination board specifications and curriculum requirements
  • Prepare students effectively for A Level assessments and examinations
  • Use assessment and feedback to monitor progress and support attainment
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed learning environment
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and independent learning
  • Support students’ academic progress and post-18 pathways
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider staff team
  • Contribute to curriculum development and shared resources
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Law Teacher
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching A Level Law (essential)
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of A Level specifications
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to engage, challenge, and motivate post-16 students
  • Organised, reflective, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Willingness to commit to a long‑term temporary and ongoing role
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
