KS1 High Level Teaching Assistant – Full-time, temp-to-perm role starting
September 2026

Duties as KS1 High Level Teaching Assistant- Provide high-quality support to teachers across Key Stage 1
- Lead small groups and deliver planned learning activities
- Offer targeted support to individual pupils, including those with SEND
- Assist with planning and preparation of learning materials
- Maintain positive behaviour and consistent routines
- Support assessment processes and contribute to pupil progress notes
- Supervise classes during teacher absence where required
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
- Prior experience working in a school setting is essential
- HLTA status or relevant TA qualifications are essential
- Confident leading groups and delivering pre-planned learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Effective behaviour management and ability to motivate pupils
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to use initiative
- Reliable, organised, and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting well-being
Your salary – dependent on experience – is paid weekly through PAYE – that means no self employed or umbrella companies.
