Teacher Active is proud to be working with a number of supportive schools across Exeter, and we are currently looking for an experienced SENDCo to join one of our partner schools. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about inclusion and ensuring every pupil has access to the support they need to thrive.
The successful SENDCo will play a key role in leading the school's SEND provision, working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, carers and external professionals to ensure high‑quality support is in place for pupils with additional needs.
The successful SENDCo will have:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- The National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it).
- Previous experience as a SENDCo or within a SEND leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCPs and statutory processes.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
- A dedicated consultant available 24/7.
