Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

$16.50/hr – $20.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, including order entry, prescription dispensing, and quality improvement activities.
• Use pharmacy information systems to obtain patient and drug information, verify medication accuracy, and process prescriptions while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory policies.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting customers, resolving customer issues, and modeling best practices in customer service.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical products, and report any inventory discrepancies.
• Participate in clinical services such as sample collection, patient education, and coordination with the Walgreens Health Care Clinic and external providers when required.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and register operations, including processing cash, credit, and reimbursement transactions.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and excellent patient care.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prior experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred, though not required.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription preparation and counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with store inventory control are preferred.
• PTCB certification or the willingness to pursue certification during the apprenticeship is preferred.
