Overview

The Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute is recruiting additional Electrophysiologists to join our nationally recognized team in Kingsport, TN and Johnson City, TN. As the premier provider of cardiovascular care in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, our program includes 50+ cardiologists delivering advanced, evidence-based care throughout Ballad Health’s system.

Kingsport – Holston Valley Medical Center

• 345-bed tertiary care teaching hospital with multiple academic affiliations with regional universities including East Tennesse State University as part of Ballad Health’s teaching hospital network.
• Team of 8 general cardiologists, 7 interventional cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists, 4 cardiac surgeons, and 3 vascular surgeons.
• Nationally recognized as one of the Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals (IBM Watson).
• 5 cardiac cath labs, 2 are dedicated EP labs.
• Comprehensive program including advanced EP procedures (laser lead extraction, EVICD, Pulse Field ablations), structural heart disease, peripheral vascular interventions, and advanced imaging (CT, MRI, Echo).

Johnson City – Johnson City Medical Center

• 445-bed tertiary care teaching hospital affiliated with East Tennessee State University.
• Team of 7 cardiologists, 3 cardiothoracic surgeons, and 2 vascular surgeons.
• Level I Trauma Center with advanced procedural capabilities including structural heart disease and state-of-the-art imaging (CT, PET, Nuclear, Echo).
