Therapist Foster Care Program

Program Therapist – Clarvida

Provide Clarvida‑approved therapeutic interventions to clients and families, coordinate case resources, and collaborate with treatment teams to effect positive change.

• Assess clients at intake, conduct community visits, transport clients, and complete on‑call duties.
• Deliver individual, group, family therapy including coping skills, behavior modification, parenting skills, and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with treatment team to create, personalize, and update Treatment Plans consistent with Clarvida policy, state licensing, and COA accreditation.
• Advocate for clients and liaise with professionals and agencies involved in client care.
• Attend supervision and treatment team meetings and present on assigned clients as required.
• Document clinical work within established time frames and rectify deficits promptly.
• Complete peer audits and contribute to the Performance Quality Improvement Cycle to continuously improve client and program services.

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution eligible for Tennessee mental health licensure.
• In-depth knowledge of child development and therapeutic interventions.
• Sensitivity to diverse cultures and socioeconomic levels.

• Experience working with children/adolescents in a therapeutic, community‑based treatment environment.

• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• Reliable transportation access.

• Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills.
• Teamwork and flexible hours to meet program needs.
• Ability to travel and work at multiple locations.

• Travel 25‑50% of the time.
• Physical demands include regular standing, walking, sitting, hand use, and occasional lift up to 25 lb.
