Systems Analyst

Eastman Credit Union is seeking a Systems Analyst to join our IT Operations group! This position includes the following responsibilities:

• Oversee the life‑cycle of business applications, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations to new platforms.
• Manage integrations between systems, such as internal and external APIs.
• Use automation technologies to build and monitor scheduled jobs to improve business workflows and increase productivity.
• Utilize database tools such as PL/SQL, SSIS, and SSRS to create data extracts and build custom reports.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for application enhancements.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation for all supported systems.
• Work closely with the Information Security team to implement protective measures for applications.
• Participate in routine disaster recovery exercises to run applications from a secondary data center location and maintain associated documentation.
• Provide Tier 2 support to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to applications.
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Work efficiently with U.S.
  
  -based and global vendors.
• Lead or participate in application-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
• Work with IT Project Manager to define project scopes, create project plans, and manage timelines.
• Coordinate with other IT analysts and business professionals.

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, IT, related IT discipline or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working in a database administrative capacity.
• Experience with job automation and scheduling technologies preferred.
• Background in the financial services industry preferred.
• IT‑related certifications are a plus.
