American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and a TN or compact RN license.

• MS/Tele unit setting with Med/Surg, MS/Tele, and Telemetry patient populations
• 1:7 patient ratio when floated to MS
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 18:30-7:00 (7pm-7am)
• Schedule options include 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float within the facility
• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required; AHA ACLS certification preferred
• 2 years of RN experience required
• MS/Tele and Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Telemetry monitoring experience, both on-unit and remote preferred
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care experience
• PICC line management and blood product administration skills preferred
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Experience with gastrointestinal care including colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube management

• Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care duties
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBL modules
• Must complete EKG competency testing within 72 hours of signing
• Must complete drug testing 12-14 calendar days prior to start, with potential for a second test if needed
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
