Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Kingston, ON

Shift/

Hours:

Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting an Accounting Clerk to support the financial and administrative operations of a business in the Kingston area. This role assists with day‑to‑day bookkeeping support, accounts payable and receivable activities, and general office administration.

This position works closely with the purchasing department, vendors, and internal staff to ensure financial information is recorded accurately and transactions are processed in a timely manner.

This opportunity is well suited for someone with previous accounting or bookkeeping support experience who enjoys working in a team‑oriented office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate financial data entry and assist with maintaining accounting records
  • Support accounts payable processing including vendor invoices and payments
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities including billing follow‑ups and payment tracking
  • Help maintain the general ledger and support reconciliation processes
  • Track purchase orders and assist with vendor documentation
  • Assist with account reconciliations including bank and vendor accounts
  • Maintain organized financial and administrative records
  • Provide general administrative support to the office team as required
Requirements
  • Previous experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, or office administration
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
  • Familiarity with accounts payable, reconciliations, or financial record keeping
  • Basic computer and accounting software skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
