Step into a pivotal role as an Assistant Trial Coordinator in the Ontario and Superior Court of Justice. Support court scheduling and coordinate case logistics on an irregular, on-call basis.
This temporary position focuses on aiding the Trial Coordinator with crucial court schedules in various legal matters, including criminal and family courts. Candidates will require excellent organizational skills, a solid understanding of legal terminology, and the ability to communicate effectively with judges and counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain court lists using established scheduling practices
• Process documents and liaise with legal professionals
• Identify issues affecting schedules and alert Trial Coordinators
• Assist with statistical data preparation
Requirements:
• Knowledge of Ontario and Superior Courts’ functions
• Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer applications for administrative tasks
