Learning Support Teacher Annapolis Valley

Become a Learning Support Teacher with the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education. This term position focuses on providing quality education for students with diverse learning needs.

Effective from August 1st to November 16th, 2026, this 0.26 FTE role requires a valid Nova Scotia Teaching Certificate and preferred qualifications in Special Education. You will engage with students facing academic, behavioral, and social emotional challenges, utilizing individualized assessments and collaborative strategies for effective learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality instruction per provincial educational framework

• Assess and report on individualized student progress

• Collaborate with Educational Assistants for tailored programs

• Implement instructional techniques based on students' needs

• Engage in professional development and training sessions

Requirements:

• Valid Nova Scotia Teaching Certificate

• M Ed in Special Education or Inclusive Education preferred

• Completion of relevant specialized courses

• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff

• Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry required
