Wages: $21.21 per hour
Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance withthe Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) Local 73 Bargaining Unit.
This position is subject to the Annual Layoff/Recall Process as per Articles 29 & 30 of the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) Local 73 Collective Agreement.
Qualifications and Abilities:- Develop and maintain positive rapport with students.
- Current CPR and First Aid training.
- Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and take initiative.
- Bona fide occupational requirements of the position, including physical ability.
- Provide supervision for students before and after school, during the lunch and recess breaks.
- Familiarization of any medical or programs students may have (e.g. specific behaviour plans).
- Report to the principal or designate any problem or discipline issue that occurred during supervision.
- Other duties that are site specific (polices and protocol) and within the scope of responsibility of the position.
