Position: Professional Services ASIST Trainer Role

St. Lawrence College is looking for a Professional Services Trainer to lead Living Works ASIST workshops on weekends. Help participants gain vital skills in suicide prevention through immersive training experiences.

As a trainer, you will conduct two-day workshops that require effective facilitation and group management skills. Candidates should hold an active Living Works ASIST Trainer Certification and ideally have experience in adult education or related fields. Your enthusiasm and commitment to creating a safe, engaging learning environment are essential for guiding adult learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging weekend ASIST workshops for participants

• Lead discussions on sensitive subject matters with empathy

• Implement skill-building frameworks and practice simulations

• Maintain records of attendance and completions

• Create a collaborative learning environment for all participants

Requirements:

• Active Living Works ASIST Trainer Certification

• Proven experience in workshop facilitation

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
