Support students with complex needs as an Intensive Support Assistant across ALCDSB schools in Eastern Ontario. Apply behaviour science and transition support.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board seeks a full-time Intensive Support Assistant for Student Services. You will support staff and students in assigned schools, provide transitional support for students with special education needs, and help plan for student success. The position also delivers training on topics including Behaviour Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Support staff and students in assigned schools
- Provide transitional support for students with special education needs
- Support staff planning for student success
- Train staff groups on Behaviour Management Systems
- Work collaboratively on intervention programs
- College diploma in a relevant human services field
- At least two years supporting students with autism spectrum disorder
- Ontario Class G driver's license
- Ability to present information to small and large groups
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
