Optiv Energy Canada Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Manager for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. With a strong emphasis on onsite oversight, you will act as the owner's representative, managing daily inspections, progress reporting, and safety protocols.
Your role will contribute significantly to solar repowering and new builds while fostering a robust safety culture among the teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee EPC work to ensure compliance with specifications
• Maintain daily logs, photos, and report project status
• Monitor EPC's safety practices and quality records
• Review documentation for submittals and claims
• Recommend improvements in safety and operational efficiency
Requirements:
• 8+ years of construction experience, 3+ in solar or BESS
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction sequences
• Clear communication skills and proficiency in documentation
• Valid driver’s license with the right to work in Canada
• Knowledge of local OHSA regulations
