Job Description

3M is seeking a Webline Process Engineer for its Manufacturing Engineering team, located in Brockville, ON.

Security Clearance
  • Successful security clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration program is a mandatory pre‑requirement for this position at this location. Please note the following are some (but not all) of the listed requirements for Controlled Goods Clearance:
  • Must be a Canadian citizen normally residing in Canada, or must be a Permanent Resident normally residing in Canada
  • Must have valid and current identification (i.e., driver’s license, passport, birth certificate)
  • Must be able to provide a residential address and employment history of the past 5 years
  • If applicable, living outside of Canada during the past five years will require an international criminal name check
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role Responsibilities
  • Supporting engineering aspects of Plant safety improvement plans
  • Developing and executing OEE improvement projects on tape adhesive coating and paper treating lines
  • Developing and executing yield improvement plans for both design and process scrap
  • Supporting the maintenance and optimization of webline gauging systems
  • Supporting material substitution projects to help drive down unit cost
  • Supporting new product introduction efforts
  • Supporting implementation of renewal, cost reduction and growth‑related capital projects
  • Supporting a 24/7 production environment
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start) in an electrical or industrial controls field.
  • Five (5) years of combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional Qualifications (Help You Succeed)
  • Experience with Siemens and Schneider industrial controls platforms
  • Experience with webline variable frequency drive systems, webline steering and tension controls
  • Minimum of three (3) years working with cross‑functional teams
  • Demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills
  • Self‑starter/self‑directed that leads with high energy and passion
Travel

May include up to 5% domestic/international.
