Shape the future of mining infrastructure as a Mechanical Designer s role focuses on the design optimization and layout for heavy industrial projects while operating in a Northern Ontario office.
With over 8 years of specialized experience, WSP invites applicants to prepare and optimize 3-D designs and process flow diagrams for significant mining and industrial infrastructure developments.
Your role will include coordinating with different disciplines to ensure precise design flow while upholding engineering standards, all while utilizing top-tier software tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design comprehensive 3-D models for upgrades and new setups
• Draft process flow diagrams tailored to project needs
• Prepare design calculations, sketches, and briefs
• Conduct vendor documentation checks and trade-off studies
• Collaborate with teams to enhance design processes
Requirements:
• College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency with design software including Revit and Micro Station
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
